John Trundy

John R. Trundy, 85, passed away comfortably Aug. 27, 2017, at his home in Zephyrhills, Fla.

John was born in Sharon, Mass., Feb. 4, 1932, to Walter and Marion (Lucas) Trundy.

He was predeceased by both of his parents; his wife Virginia (Gina) Trundy; brothers Walter (Sonny) and William (Bill) Trundy; a half-brother Dr. Edward Trundy; and a half sister Frances (Dot) Wotton. John is survived by his children Carolyn Canning of Northport, Virginia (Jeannie) and her husband Jon Delher of Billings, Mont., Maurice and wife Jaqueline Trundy of Northport, and Angela and husband Chip Manchester of Macedon, N.Y. As well, he is survived by several grandchildren and special companion Marion Rooney.

John's favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking. He belonged to the Masons, was on the school board, and served as Past Master of Grand View Grange, all in Northport. He worked and retired from the Dutch Chevrolet parts department in Belfast.

Burial and graveside service will be at Grove Cemetery in Belfast Friday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. with the Masons of Northport officiating.
