The family of faith at Belfast United Methodist Church invites children ages 5-12 to this year’s Vacation Adventure Bible Camp, coming up the week of July 22-26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church, 23 Mill Lane. The theme for the week is "Life Lessons from Dr. Seuss."

Participants will read “The Cat in the Hat,” “The Lorax,” “Horton Hears a Who,” and “Oh, the Places You'll Go.” Each day crafts and snacks will reflect the book of the day. Each evening begins with a light supper at 5 p.m. After supper, the children will sing songs and be introduced to the theme of the day, and then will go to scheduled activities: games, crafts, and storytelling w/snacks.

On Friday, parents are invited to attend the VBS parent program, where the children will sing and share what they have learned throughout the week. At the end of the program, children and their families will be treated to ice cream sundaes and each child will receive a “goodie bag” of fun items and treats.

Children can be registered on Monday, July 22, from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Or they can be preregistered by phone at 338-5575, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organizers promise "lots of good food and great fun!"
