Four generations of Doughtys: Kevin, Kaylib, Rita and Ethan, 7 months, at a Christmas gathering.

Hello All,

Well, this will be short and sweet as my laptop has locked me out, and makes me browse as a guest. I am not a happy camper. It is always something for this ole lady to deal with. Technology, ugh.

Wanted: Contact

Debbi Stephens of Montville Historical Society has lost a contact number for the lady that walks her hunting dogs on Frye Mountain. I am hoping she reads this and gets back to her. Call 589-4760, her home please. This lady's brother used to work on Frye.

Get well soon

Here's to Dee Dee Doughty getting better with that broken leg. Thinking of you, as are others.

Make it a kinder year

We have a new 2020 year to deal with, and let's make it a kinder one to each other. The upcoming election, and past has made some people mean and angry. This is hard for me to see happening. Pay it forward if you can, as there is always someone worse off than you. I received a pay it forward kindness box with all kinds of cookies, and have sampled only one. So far, that is!

Dogs licensed

All dogs 6 months or older need to be licensed, and have a current rabies shot.

Our sympathy to the family of Bert Clifford of Florida, son of the late Greg and Mary Clifford, who has recently passed away. He is missed by many. Class of MVHS 1987.

Car and deer accident

My niece, Kim Drew, had a deer run out in front of her and it damaged her car, but she is OK. The deer have been out, as I've been seeing them. Be careful.

On another note

Nearby in Rockport and other places there have been several instances of people having their car windows smashed and purses stolen. Inside to pick up childcare kids, and at basketball practices, etc. Take your purse with you, never leave it in plain sight, ever. Trust no one.

New Year's

Several told me they stayed home and watched that ball drop in NYC on TV. No going out anywhere. It was a safe place to be. I hope all have a happy New Year.

Until next time,

I plan to see why my laptop is locking me out. This is so aggravating. I hope you all stay safe and warm. Have fun!
