Hello All,

Wedding

The big day of our week was Saturday, Sept. 5. Grandson Cody Doughty married Cassidy Roderick in an outdoor ceremony in Winslow. It was a bright sunny day, and enjoyed by all who attended. Cody's uncle, John Snyer, married the couple. May they have many years together. We are blessed. Family from town attended. They live in Jay where Cody works at the Rumford Mill. He recently graduated from UMO with a chemical engineering degree.

Chicken barbecue

On Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Unity Legion Post 50 Hall, a takeout-only Chicken barbecue will be held. Noon till gone. Barbecued chicken, baked beans, roll and dessert.

Northport VFW 6131

Baked chicken dinner, baked beans, coleslaw, roll and dessert, $8 at the Blue Goose parking Lot. Drive-thru and takeout only, 4:30 p.m. till gone. Nice talking to Judy Barton today.

Pie sale

The Thorndike Masons have another pie sale on Friday, Sept. 18, 4-6 p.m. These seem to be very popular. Yummy.

Belated birthday

Our wishes for a happy birthday to Beverly Ingraham, who celebrated her 91st birthday Sept. 3. She had a family gathering on Saturday. May she have many more.

Sympathy

Our sympathy to the family and friends of Mike Anderson who recently passed. He is missed.

Today is Sept 11th

As I type this up, may we never forget this day.

Until next week,

School seems to be going OK here. Enjoy this fall weather. Be safe, and be kind.
