Maine Maple Weekend

Yes, it is now. In Knox at Kinney's Sugarhouse Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. At Beaver Hill Plantation at 9 a.m.-4 p.m. All kinds of maple treats to purchase.

Frye Mountain Riders

They will be offering an ATV Safety class on Saturday, April 24, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Brooks Fire House. To sign up, email ggallagher04921@gmail.com. Cost is $10 per student. Twenty slots available, first come, first served. Anyone between the ages of 10 and 16 who wishes to operate an ATV on the trails in the state must have taken a valid ATV safety course.

Knox Booster Club

The first meeting for 2021 is April 1 at 7 p.m. at the Daly Family Farm at 9 Old County Road. Public is welcome. Please bring a chair. Follow current COVID guidelines.

Shop opens

Ellie's Serendipity Shop on routes 202/9 in Troy opens soon, Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 948-2101 or 314-2378. All kinds of collectibles, linens, wall art, small furniture, jewelry, books, and much more. She has beautiful lilies in growing season. A nice place to shop.

A birthday

A birthday is happening on Saturday, March 27, and he will be 89. Yes, Allen Yeaton is celebrating and would love some cards still. His address is 14 Pine Road, Belmont, ME 04952. Happy birthday, Allen!!

Tax time

And you get more time to file those darned taxes every year. Well maybe most folks, some are lucky enough not to have to do this anymore. It has been changed from April 15 to May 17 per the IRS.

Knox town meeting

The annual town meeting is Saturday, April 10, at 10 a.m. at Mount View High School. Election at the Town Office is Friday, April 9, and voting takes place from 4 to 8 p.m. Bruce Grass is the only one up for reelection. He is running and no one has taken out papers to run against him. Get out on the 10th and see what is happening in our town.

Get well

A speedy get well to Bob Richardson who is not feeling up to his old self. He ended up in the hospital and is now in rehab to get better. Get well soon from all of us. Fishing season is here and you always look forward to that fishing on the bridge in Montville.

Easter

Wishing everyone a happy Easter on Sunday, April 4.
