Hello To All,

It is supposed to be a good night to see the Northern Lights, but I have yet to see them here, and really do not want to stay up till 2 AM to see them. So, what to do...They are pretty, but Alaska has the best.

Knox Station Grange

A big Thank You !! to everyone that supported the supper Saturday evening. On the plus side, the Shibles Road has been upgraded and tarred finally. It is nice. Met some Granger's attending the supper, as well.


Yes, some bat's have been out during the day, and making people a little upset to see them. I thought they only came out at night...scary looking creatures.

Country Jamboree

Another Music and singing Jamboree is coming up on Tuesday, July 25th 6-9 PM at the Legion Hall in Unity. BJ and Bob's Jam. Inviting people to join in, play your instruments, and sing. Come early to set up. Food by the Legion. It is fun to relax and listen to the music, visit with friends and strangers too. Everyone having a good time. No alcohol.


Larrabee Field... Mid Coast Falcons on their home field  Saturday, July 22nd, time is 7 PM, I posted it wrong before. Bring the kids early to meet the players.

In Unity

Celebrate Unity 4th Annual Celebration Festival at Field of Dreams Saturday, July 29th 11-3 PM and Unity Raceway. Chicken BBQ at Noon.  A day and evening full of events. 100 lap Enduro Race 6 PM. A Wicked Good Vintage Tour.  A concert by Kelly Ravin and his new band, " The Welterweights " making their Maine debut at Unity Raceway 8-11 PM and Fireworks 9:30 PM. Look for their flyer, and on posted.

Nature Night..Feast on Flowers

At the Community Center Unity Barn Raisers, hosted by Northwood Natural Learning Thursday, July 20th 6-8 PM. Head on out into the Town and harvest edible flower's ,then return , prepare them and eat what is harvested. Info call 948-9005.

Fundraiser for Honor Flight Maine

At the Red Barn Monday, July 24th 11 AM- 4 PM. Helping the Veterans get to see their Memorial's at DC. Making this trip for the WWII Veterans as they are aging, and hopefully more can go. For other's as well. A trip of a lifetime.

Our Little Racer

Ryder Wren get's a 2nd Place. He came in 2nd place at the MX 207's AMA Maine State Championship Race and brought home not only a 2nd place in 50CC 4-6 but a 6th place in the 50CC Open. He was flying high, and did a few flips, but he rode away from every crash. Way to go Ryder !!! We are all so proud of your accomplishment's.

Field of Dreams

Yes, in Unity they have been fixing up the Stones, and flowers there. It is looking so much nicer now. Thanks !!


The Farm Stands are Open. The Heald Farm has potatoes, red and white both, kale, peas, summer squash, zucchini, broccoli, and cukes just to name some things. Timber Frame Farm had strawberries, and summer squash, not sure what else. Jolene Bryant has peas, radishes, lettuce, peppers, at the Bryant Place on 137.  Curra's had cukes, beet greens, summer and zucchini squash, lettuce, and tromatoes. Subject to change.

Camping at Duck Lake

I went camping with Bob, Lori, Bobby, Tyler and Sky up to Duck Lake and scouted out the Unknowns. It was so buggy. We all had a good time, but I was sure glad to get outta those wood's. Still itching from mosquito bites. They got bit up too. Maybe next time they will listen to me and move over to the Unknowns to be on the sandy shore and water. Oh well...had fun.

Swim Lessons with Kati

Odds and Ends

I hope you are enjoying our nice days. The gardens are growing, farmers are busy haying, and all. We have a nice tarred road in town on Shibles Road. I hope more get work. Our Town maintains 20 miles of roads, and plows 28 miles. We have several roads the State maintains.

Class Reunion

50th at Brenda Dodge Gamage place 112 Unity Rd, Benton.  Mount View Class of 1967, and invites are for Class of 1966 and 1968. Come at 11:30 AM, and stay as long as you wish. BBQ Lunch. Brooks Community Park

Concert 30th Year Anniversary of "Live Wire.".Saturday July 22nd 7-12 Midnight. Local kids from MV years past, and Nukulele Band as well. Food and vendors.

Off to Arkansas

Yep, my good friend Rosalind Brann is visiting family and having a good time along the way with Family. I do not know where she is at now, but have lots of fun Rosie. You deserve a vacation trip.
