Hello All, Well we are still having our Summer weather, and I was told Fall does not start until Sept 20th. Who knew, not me..Anyway, lovely weather now.

Belated Birthday

I forgot to post this sooner, but Dee Dee Doughty observed her Birthday on Sept 14th..Hope you had a great one.

Sympathy

Our condolences to the Family of Mabel Larrabee who has passed away at the age of 91. She will be missed.

Muddy Paws Grooming

Annette Reynolds is hoping to find a groomer to help her out. Contact her if you know someone or are interested. She does a fine job. She is on Facebook. I did not get a contact number.

School Lockdown

Apparently some middle school student left a threatening note in the bathroom at Mt. View today so the school was in lockdown. Yes, the kids were late getting home, but all were safe. Good job to all.

Do you know ??

Does anyone know if Mark Bennett ever got a Flag Pole for the new softball field at Mt. View High School ?? He was in the process of doing some fund raising for one. Our Ladies Auxiliary gave a donation, but I have never heard any more. Also, I need a copy ( CD ) of the 2016 MVHS Graduation, have sent two messages to the school, ( on facebook), but no answer yet. Thanks !! Guess I need to call the school.

2nd Annual

Tedy's Day Care is having their 5K on Sept. 30th 9 AM on the Abbott Road by the Town Office. Contact Meghan Hubbard 323-5233 for info. Bring your dog and have fun.

Homecoming Football Game

On Monday, Sept. 18th the MVHS Football team will play Orono at Larrabee field inder the lights at 7 PM. Wear your green and white and join in. Bring a sign. Concessions open.

Sept. 18th 6 PM BBQ, Bon fire, Homecoming kick-off. They are raising money for the Pie in your Face event too.

Celebration of Life

A gathering for Alesha Wood Oliver will be held on Sept. 30th 2 PM at the Jackson Community Center. She passed away on August 27th.  Info contact, her mother Pat Patterson Wood. Rest In peace Alesha. I am sure it would be appreciated if you bring a dish to share.

Knox Grange

Hot Roasted Turkey on the menu for the Grange Supper, and all the fixings to go with it. Saturday Sept. 16th 4:30-6 PM. Shibles Road., here in Town. Public and all welcome.

Looking for people ...Cider

New Beat Farm and Debi Stephens are looking for you to call and get an appointment to have your Apples pressed into cider. Open House on Sept. 30th 1-5 PM Commercial Apple Press, and they will press for you. Info and to get an Appt. call 333-7583. Fun Day !! Horse and wagon rides too. Music, and more. Morse Road and in Town.

Winter in the Next Few Months

The Waldo County Triad invites the Community to donate Blankets and Warm Clothing Sept 18-Nov. 13th. Warm Blankets, Gently used Coats, Sno Pants, Hats, Mittens and gloves, all sizes, Scarves as well. There is a drop off box at the Unity Community Center for donations. Starting on Sept 18th. All donations will be distributed in Waldo County. Questions call 1-866-426-7555. Thanks !!
