Well Hello,

Wow, and I say wow, it is COLD out there, below zero weather..Not fit for man nor beast to be outside..I hear a few day's of these temp's. Hurry up Mother Nature and warm us up some..

From the Town Office:

Nomination papers for the positions of 2nd Selectman and School Board Director, three year terms both. Papers must be returned by Jan. 16th in order to qualify to be on the ballot.

Fire in nearby Montville

We are so sorry to hear of the fire at Rebecca Bryant's. This was the old home of the Keller's, Mary and Leroy on the Halldale Road. A Benefit for her is being planned for Jan. 20th at Mt. View and will be a Pot Luck, chinese auction, and 50/50. She is staying with relatives, Kathy and Russell Bryant at this time. I know gift cards can help her out now. She has her five adult dogs, but lost her red dog's litter of puppies in the fire. The doggie door, and neighbors saved the adult dogs. So sorry to hear this awful news.

Mt. View

The Mt. View Chamber Singers Reunion is Sunday, Jan. 7th at 7 PM. All welcome to attend.

I wish to send much sympathy to the Family of Wilma Stewart, " Wink ". She has passed away at Lakewood. Rest in Peace, you were a special lady to me. She was a long time member of the Unity  American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Unit 50, and the reason I joined was her..I will miss her.

At Maine Veterans Home

My lady Veteran friend, Gloria Pacheco is in rehab at the home now, in Augusta. I hope she gets to come home.

Get Well

Get well to our friend, Cari Anne..May you be well quick.

Close Call

Yes, I had a close call driving my car on 137 in Winslow, some idiot decided to pass another car in my lane and heading right toward me. All I saw was headlights coming at me. I managed to avoid a big crash, and not go off the road. But whoever it was hit my mirror, and scraped down the side of my car. They kept right on going. I am ok, just frustrated that they never bothered to even stop. Some people amaze me the ignorance out on the road. Luckily I was quick to react..karma.

Dee Dee,  Katie, Sara and Lauren called on Thursday night. We had a few good laughs., and caught up.

Brrrrr !!

Not much going on, and keep safe and warm. Run the water if you have to, better than a freeze up. It is terribly cold out there.

Until next week,
