Hello All,

Here it is Friday again, and those Friday's keep on coming. The storm I thought we were getting so far is only rain here. The ground is getting bare all the time, and Spring is just around the corner. Muddy in places already. It is coming upon Town Meeting time. Lee Kinney, of Kinney's Sugarhouse  has been making maple syrup. Trees have sap flowing.

Kinney's Sugarhouse

On Feb. 26th Lee posted on facebook, his site that 10,000 gallons of sap was in the tanks. He said currently sap was flowing into the tanks at about 1200 gallons per hour. Sugar content of the sap was 2.6% that making it 33 gallons of sap 2.6% to make 1 gallon of syrup 66.9%. This was a few days ago so I imagine it is more now. The weather seems good for sugaring. They make many maple products as well. Soon Maple Sprup Sunday will be here.

Until next week,

Not much for news this week. The lockdowns, and lockouts at school nearby. Sadly a little girl Marissa Kennedy 10 years old lost her life at the hands of her own mother, and stepfather. This is so sad. Some folks still are battling the flu bugs. I hope you all feel better soon. Stay safe and be warm. Spring is coming !
