Hello to All,

Well another Friday, and the laptop pitched a fit, could not get it to work, freezing up..so I wait, wait,  and wait some more. In the meantime had errands to run. It is snowing again, ugh, mother nature please give us a break. Had the rain, winds, and the snow was melting fast, but that did not last.  Soon, it will be bare.  And mud !! That wind is cold out there. I guess we just have to be patient.

Birthday Get-together

Recently the Family of Marguerite "Peggy "Larrabee gathered at Tall Pines to celebrate her 92nd Birthday. There were around twenty in attendance. Happy Birthday to you Peggy ! A good time was had by all who attended.

Indoor Yard Sale

The MV PTC will be having the Yard Sale on April 28th, 8-12 in the Cafe. Call the Elementary Secretary for info.

Another relative to our Family Tree

On April 2, 2018 Deegan Alexander Fernands was born weighing 8 lbs.7 oz.,and 21 1/2 inches long. He is the son of Heather Merrifield and Simon Fernands, and brother to Aaron. Congrats to all, and maternal grandparents, Gary Jr.and Sonya Merrifield.

Get Well

Get well wishes to the Bryant Family. Thinking of you.

Benefit Supper

In Brooks at the Varney Building on May 5th, 4:30-6:30 PM for Little Bentley Ripley who has some medical issue's and needs expensive medicine. He is the son of Travis and LeeAnna Ripley. Cindy Ludden has been Auctioning items that have been donated to help this cause. If you have anything to help, contact Cindy.

Open for the Season

Ralph's Cafe is Open. Check out the special meal's that has come up, from other Countries that he get's the ideas from. And just plain good food. Frank and Mike are great folks. Yes, it is in Brooks.

Wreaths Across America,  Clean-up, Saturday 21st

It is time to gather up the Christmas Wreaths from the Maine Veterans Cemeteries. On April 21st,  Me. Vet Cemetery on Civic Center Drive 10 AM, and Mt. Vernon Location at 9 AM. Bring an old broom handle to load them onto, as it will be easier to carry them, more at a time, to the dumpsters that are set up. This is a good project for the Boys and Girls Scouts, or any group. Help is needed, the more helping the faster it will be done.

Drug Take Back

It is time for another Drug Take Back Event on Friday, April 27th 10-2 at the Unity Community Center.

Tables Still Available

The Brooks Ladies Fellowship of First Congregational Church in Brooks will be hosting their annual Antique-Craft Fair on June 2nd 8-3. They still have tables available to rent, $10. ea. Limit 2 per person. Contact Karen at 722-3056 or kahudgins60@gmail.com. All proceeds help to further educational scholarships. Refreshments available to purchase.

In Woodlands

Helen Furrow who is  nearly 97 yrs. young, now is at Woodlands, assisted living.  She is in Rm. 13. A card would be appreciated by her.

Birthdays

A Happy Birthday to the grandchildren's Grampie,Linwood Doughty on April 16th. A very Happy Birthday to Dawna Routhier on April 17th. May you both have a great day. Your family also wishing you good health.

Patriots Day is April 16th. Do not forget the Open House at Ingraham's the 11th. Tuesday the 10th meeting of Pleasant Hill Cemetery Assoc. 6:30 PM. New time for Trash Pick-up 6 AM, I see trash out after this, and apparently some people did not realize the new time change starting today.,April 6th. Let it snow, let it snow, and maybe it will soon be done. My Gram called it poor man's fertilizer. May you all have a great week, be warm and safe.
