Oct 03, 2017
Penobscot Marine Museum’s “Portrait of Harriet McGilvery Dunbar” is among the works that will tell their tales the night before the museum’s final day of the season.

Searsport — On Saturday, Oct. 14, from 5 to 7 p.m., Penobscot Marine Museum’s night watch will put the museum to bed for the season as the portraits come alive to tell their stories. The Last Night at the Museum event is family-friendly and all in good “spirit.”

Tours will leave the Visitors Center, 2 Church St., every 15 minutes and last half an hour. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children with a $12 family cap. Space is limited, so purchasing tickets in advance is advised to ensure a space. Tickets may be purchased over the phone at 548-2529 or online at penobscotmarinemuseum.org. The downtown museum’s final day is Sunday, Oct. 15.
