'Libraries Rock' summer reading program starts June 26

Stockton Springs — Stockton Springs Community Library will begin its summer reading program for children Tuesday, June 26, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and will take place every Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30 am through July 31.

This year’s theme is “Libraries Rock!” There will be stories, games, snacks, and lots of fun!

The session June 26 will introduce the program. There will be a skit, story and snack, and participants will create their own story log. In addition to stories, snacks and activities, each week will have a special theme:

On July 3 there will be stories, snacks, and instrument making.

On July 10 the theme will be “Sounds of Nature.”

On July 17 the theme will be “Science.”

July 24 theme to be announced.

July 31 will be a special Street Party and Barbecue with special guest mime Scott Cannon from 5 to 7 p.m. (There will not be a morning program that day).
