License renewals postponed for seafood dealers

Augusta — An Executive Order issued by Gov. Janet Mills delays the requirement for Maine seafood dealers and processors to renew their licenses from April 1 until May 31.

The order applies only to renewals. Dealers and processors who are applying for the first time still must apply for required licenses and pay applicable fees to begin operating this month or later.

Included in the order are wholesale dealer, wholesale with lobster, wholesale supplemental, shellfish transportation, shellfish transportation supplemental, lobster transportation, lobster transportation supplemental, lobster meat permit, and lobster processor licenses.
