Lions' Pride Golf Classic to tee off Aug. 10

Northport — The Belfast Area High School athletic boosters will hold the Lions' Pride Golf Classic on Friday, Aug. 10 at the Northport Golf Club.

The event will be a shotgun start, with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. and the tournament to tee off at 9 a.m.

The tournament is a scramble format and prizes will be awarded for low gross and low net scores, in addition to a closest-to-the-pin contest on holes nine and 18 and a longest drive contest on holes seven and 16.

There also will be a barbecue throughout the event.

The cost for the event is $260 per team, including golf carts, or $360 with hole sponsorship.
