Local hospitals offer virtual women’s health groups

Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital will temporarily be offering virtual breastfeeding and postpartum support groups, in order to support women and families while maintaining safe social distancing practices.

The PBMC Breastfeeding Support Group meets Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 6:30 p.m. The PBMC Postpartum Support Group meets first and third Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The WCGH Breastfeeding Support Group meets Mondays from 10 to 11 a.m. The WCGH Postpartum Support Group meets second and fourth Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

These support groups are free but preregistration is required to receive virtual access. Visit journeytohealth.coursestorm.com or call 301-3950 for more information or to register.
