On Sunday, March 24 at 11:00 a.m., the life works of George Wachsteter (1911-2004), one of America’s most prominent celebrity caricaturists of the mid-20th Century, will be sold at Thomaston Place Auction Galleries.   This extensive collection was discovered and archived for a 2008 gallery exhibition entitled: “The Lost Drawings of George Wachsteter”.

The 400+ lot sale will include many drawings of well known personalities from films, theater, television, and politics, such as Jack Benny, Lucille Ball, Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Will Rogers, Judy Garland, Carol Burnett, Walt Disney, Boris Karloff, Alfred Hitchcock, Walter Cronkite, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Johnny Carson. 

This will be the one and only opportunity to acquire a portion of this collection and to own a piece of entertainment history.”
