‘Lucy’ at Alamo benefits WCTC

Oct 12, 2018

Bucksport — “Lucy” will be presented one time only: Thursday, Oct. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Alamo Theatre, 85 Main St.

Theatergoers will not only experience “an experiential art and music adventure,” but also will be supporting arts education for local young people. Midcoast musician and philanthropist Tim Woitowitz is promoting this event and is donating the proceeds to benefit the Lighthouse Arts Center Art Scholarship and the new music program at Waldo County Technical Center. Woitowitz has worked closely with WCTC Director Kevin A. Michaud over the last year to raise funds for a new state-of-the-art recording studio at the tech school in Waldo.

This special exhibit and show will showcase many local artists and musicians. Tickets, $15 in advance at Lighthouse Arts and Bookstacks/$18 at the door, include light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres. After the hour-long show, everyone is invited for a Meet the Artists dessert reception at Lighthouse Arts, 66 Main St.
