Maine Civil War authors Ned and Diane Smith will be speaking to the Richardson Civil War Round Table on Wednesday May 7th at 7 PM at the Congregational Church in Searsport. They will discuss Maine's Civil War history. This is a very appropriate topic for the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War.
Diane Smith has published three Civil War-based books:

1. Fanny and Joshua: The Enigmatic Lives of Frances Caroline Adams and Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain;
2. Chamberlain at Petersburg: The Charge at Fort Hill
3. Command Conflicts in Grant's Overland Campaign

Ned Smith has published:
1. The 22nd Maine Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War.

Ned will soon be publishing a history of the 2nd Maine Cavalry.
