Maine Genealogical Society hosts annual conference

Northport — David Allen Lambert, chief genealogist with New England Historic Genealogical Society, Boston, will be keynote speaker for the 2017 Maine Genealogical Society's annual conference Saturday, Sept. 16. Onsite registration opens at 8 a.m. at Point Lookout Resort and Conference Center, 67 Atlantic Highway (Route 1).

Lambert has been on the NEHGS staff since 1993. His expertise covers 17th through 21st century records of New England and Atlantic Canada, including African and Native Americans; and DNA as well. He has written many articles for the New England Historical and Genealogical Register and The Mayflower Descendant and American Ancestors magazines.

A fellow of the Massachusetts Historical Society in Boston, Lambert is a life member of the New Hampshire Society of Cincinnati, and tribal genealogist for the Massachuset-Punkapoag Indians of Massachusetts.
