Maine Ocean School announces summer program

Searsport — Maine Ocean School’s 2019 Summer Program will be held the week of Aug. 5-9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., on the grounds of Penobscot Marine Museum.

Students ages 12-14 are invited to sign up for this enjoyable, educational, interactive camp. The cost to participate is $300 per student.

Students will explore Maine Ocean School tracks (marine science, transportation, engineering and management) with hands-on activities and will learn to design and build a boat powered by cordless workshop power tools.

At the end of the program, students will display and race their boats at the Maine Boat & Home Show in Rockland Aug. 10-11.
