‘Maine Printmakers’ at WORKS

Monotypes by Jeff Jelenfy of Washington will be part of the September show at WORKS in Searsport.

Searsport — “Maine Printmakers,” an exhibit featuring five local printmakers working in a variety of styles and techniques, will open with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception for the artists Friday, Sept. 12, at WORKS, 21 East Main St./Route 1.

Included in this exhibit are Chris Clarke of Vinalhaven, Jeff Jelenfy of Washington, Madeline Owen of Hope, Karin Otto of Belfast and April White of Union. Monotype, etching, woodblock and mixed media printmaking techniques will be exhibited.

After Labor Day, WORKS will be open Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about the bookstore and gallery in the historic bank building, call 899-5988.
