Make Shift Coffee House explores labels Nov. 6

Oct 28, 2019

Searsmont — Waldo County residents are invited to a Make Shift Coffee House event Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Community Center in Searsmont Town Library. The topic will be “How Do Labels Work for You?” The event is free and light snacks and music will be provided.

Founded and facilitated by Craig Freshley, a Brunswick resident, Make Shift Coffee House is a venue where people of all political persuasions come together in a relaxed "coffee house" like atmosphere to discuss diverse issues and listen to and understand each other's opinions and perspectives. Frequently, unique conversations unfold and opportunities for "civil" discussions arise.

This is the second event of a three-part series, with the third event in Searsport Dec. 4. You do not have to participate in all three events to attend. For details visit makeshiftcoffeehouse.com.

This is an opportunity for people to come together to have a civil conversation about their differences and gain an understanding of these choices. Participating in the Make Shift Coffee House brings a positive shift to a community.
