Make the world’s biggest tiny water park at Waterfall Arts

Aug 08, 2019

BELFAST — On Saturday, Aug. 17, from 2 to 4 p.m., Waterfall Arts presents "AAAH: Waterworks!" At this free All Ages Art Happening (AAAH), kids and adults will work together to build the world’s biggest tiny water park with hoses, tubes, poles, and, of course, water.

Rubber duckies, ping pong balls, and foam will all be used to try out the water park participants will build together at Waterworks. Kiddie pools and water tables will round out the water park for a fun, wet sensory experience.

Bring a swimsuit and/or plan to get a little bit wet. In case of inclement weather, Waterworks will be rescheduled for Sunday, Aug. 18.

This is a free, all ages event. Children must be accompanied by an adult — adults stay and play! Waterfall Arts is located at 256 High St. For more information, call 338-2222 or visit waterfallarts.org.

Throughout the year, AAAH events at the nonprofit Waterfall Arts engage local youth and families through community-building “art parties” with memorable, themed, multi-sensory art experiences for all ages. AAAH events are led by Bridget Matros, Waterfall Arts’ Youth & Family Outreach Manager. Matros came to Waterfall Arts with more than 15 years of teaching art at every level and setting — from preschool circle-time to computer literacy classes for the elderly.
