Make your own Christmas wreath, enjoy treats at First Church

Nov 09, 2020

Belfast — On Saturdays, Nov. 21 and 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., come to the First Church in Belfast, 8 Court St., and make your very own Christmas wreath! For $20 you get a 12" quality wreath, a bow, pine cones and other items for decorating your wreath. And if you need instructions on how to put it all together, there will be people there to help you out.

Of course, there will also be food—coffee and doughnuts, and on Nov. 21, hot homemade chili. On Nov. 28, Don & Lynn's Famous Fish Chowder will be served—a tradition of the First Church Christmas Fairs for many years. On Nov. 28 there will also be Christmas trees for sale. Proceeds support the work and ministries of the First Church in Belfast, UCC.

This decorating event is a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit and a wreath on your door expresses the joy of Christmas to all who see it! Wreathes also make a great gift. This event is completely outdoors. All are welcome. Everyone is asked to observe the latest CDC guidelines, including practicing social distancing and wearing face masks.

For more information, call the church office at 338-2282, check out the Facebook page @FirstChurchinBelfastUCC, or visit firstchurchinbelfast.org. The First Church is an open and affirming congregation and is ADA accessible.
