Education innovator and world-renowned dancer, Karen Montanaro will perform and talk about art in our lives during an afternoon of discovery in Belfast.

Belfast — Belfast Creative Coalition will present “Connecting the Dots,” featuring acclaimed performance artist Karen Montanaro, Saturday, Jan. 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the United Farmer’s Market, 18 Spring St.

This afternoon of conversation, performance, art and learning is the first in a series of Art & Your Life Pop Ups being produced by the arts coalition that covers Waldo County.

"The afternoon is a fire-starter for parents, teachers, and the artist in everyone," said BCC Director Larraine Brown. "Karen Montanaro is a world-renowned dancer and mime artist, award-winning choreographer and an education innovator who can bring the conversation that intrigues so many of us: where does art meet our lives?"

Designed as an interactive conversation, the pop-up will include surprises and thought-provoking activities including performance and a dive into art and learning. Warm drinks and treats will be provided.
