On Saturday, March 29, the Bay Area and Searsport Lions Clubs will host a buffet style full breakfast featuring everyone's favorite- pancakes! The breakfast will take place from 8am-11am at the Searsport Lions Club on Prospect Street. Suggested donation for the pancake breakfast will be determined by the Searsport/Bay Area Lions Clubs. We are accepting donations of muffins, juice, hot cocoa, pancake mix, syrup or butter at this time. If you wish to make muffins or donate any of the listed items for the pancake breakfast, please email us at .
All proceeds from this years' March Madness event will be donated to our two beneficiaries: Mother and daughter, Dianne and Allie Blake of Belfast, Maine. Dianne suffers from Irretractable Migraines and a Pseudotumor Cerebri, which will require invasive treatments to manage the symptoms. Recently, Dianne reluctantly made the decision to stop working due to the severity of symptoms. Daughter, Allie Blake is struggling with Juvenile Myoclonic Seizures, which have not successfully been managed with anti-seizure medications. Allie will soon have a Vagus Nerve Stimulator implanted in her body to attempt to manage the seizures. Funds raised for this family will be used to pay for medical bills and to off-set the loss in the family income as both of them try to get back on their feet.
