Belfast — Marilyn L. (Annis) Chase, born March 17, 1932, to Merl B. and Alice (Cook) Annis, passed away June 21, 2020.

She was a proud Belfast resident throughout her life and constantly talked about her days of driving a taxi and a school bus. Marilyn's children and grandchildren were her heartbeat. She was proud of her son's military service, and her sons who drive trucks. Her favorite pastime was drinking tea with her siblings and playing beano with her sisters. She would give to anyone in need everything she possibly could — at times, even going without herself.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by siblings Bernice Jones, Muriel Taylor, Helene Phinney and Mereta Littlefield; her spouse, Reggie Patterson; son Alvin B. Chase and grandchildren Blaire Horton-Delano and Lindsey Loveless.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Roland E. Chase Jr. and wife Sharon of Perry, Fla.; Keith E. Chase of Stockton Springs; Ginger L. Heise and husband William of Perry, Fla.; Christopher C. Chase and fiancée Sally of Stockton Springs; Melanie R. Woods and husband George of Manchester, N.H.; Timothy M. Chase and wife Letitia of Ellsworth; brothers and sisters Vivian Smart and Merl Annis, both of Prospect; Leon Annis and wife Margene of Swanville; Patricia Reed and husband Theodore of Belfast; and Joyce Feero of Old Town; her grandchildren, Angela, Rebecca, Scott, Jennifer, Jesse, Nicholas, Kristi, Jessica, Michael, Christin, Tim and David; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and her beloved dog, Izzy.

Visiting hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, June 26, at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Please be mindful that current state and CDC restrictions limit the number of people allowed inside to 50 at one time, so you may have to wait before being able to enter the funeral home.

Burial details will be announced at a later date. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family at
