Meth lab busted

Bucksport — For the third time since fall 2018, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency's Downeast task force and Bucksport Police have seized meth-making materials from a Bucksport home.

According to a press release from State Police spokesman Stephen McCausland, Bucksport Police located suspicious items in a shed at a home at 396 Central St. Sunday afternoon and called in Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

An initial assessment resulted in the activation of the lab team. McCausland said three reaction vessels and other evidence were recovered.

No arrests have as yet been made and the investigation continues. Bucksport Fire Department and Maine's Department of Environmental Protection also assisted.
