Re-opening Jan. 22

MFT Gallery to host Fiore resident artists

Belfast — The Maine Farmland Trust Gallery is closed for painting and installation through the Jan. 21st, re-opening Monday, Jan. 22, with an exhibit of work by the 2017 summer residents at MFT's Joseph A. Fiore Art Center at Rolling Acres Farm, Jefferson.

The exhibit’s artists are Anne Alexander, ceramic sculpture; Elizabeth Hoy, oil painting; Jessica Klier, drawing and installation; Tanja Kunz, oil painting; Sarah Loftus, archaeologist and historical writing resident; Joss Reny (aka Josselyn Richards Daniels), biological illustration; Nellie Sweet, resident gardener, photography and writing; and Jude Valentine, monotype.

New work by MFT stable artists will be on display on the second floor. The exhibits will run through May 25, with a festive closing reception during the first  Fourth Friday Belfast Art Walk that evening. Artist talks will begin at 5 p.m., with refreshments and conversation from 5:30 to 8 p.m. All are welcome.
