South Portland — An exhibition of photographs and fine craft from the Artists in Their Studios Photography Project will open with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception for the artists Thursday, Nov. 9, at Macpage, LLC, 30 Longcreek Drive.

The exhibition will be on view by appointment thereafter through May 4 at the Macpage offices; email marketing@macpage.com to arrange a visit.

Produced in collaboration by Maine Crafts Association and Macpage LLC, this exhibition will showcase Michael Wilson’s photographs of Maine craft artists working in their studios alongside final craft objects they have produced. Midcoast artists pictured include David Jacobson of Montville and Erica Moody of Waldoboro.

Artists in Their Studios is a photography project to document Maine fine craft artists in the spaces where they create. Subjects receive 10 images for their unlimited use; the cost of the photographer and resulting photographs is paid for by the Maine Crafts Association. MCA professional-level members are invited to apply to be selected for a photo shoot; 2017 photo shoots are currently underway and the application for 2018 will open later this year. MCA is seeking funding for the 2018 photo shoots; all donations up to $5,000 will be matched. For more information on the project and how to donate, visit mainecrafts.org.

The opening reception at Macpage is free and open to the public. Plenty of free parking is available on site.
