Weather Brief Apr 24, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - April 24, 2019 PM

Our string of gray days continued on Wednesday as another area of low pressure moved through the region bringing clouds, rounds of showers, and coastal fog. If you are tired of this recent weather pattern, there is good news! High pressure to our west will build in Wednesday night and into Thursday which will break up the deck of clouds that has been in place over the past few days. Thursday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures climbing into the low to mid 50s and light winds with high pressure setting up over the Gulf of Maine by the afternoon. Get out and enjoy the sun while you can because the wet weather will be making a return.

Clouds will build back in Thursday night and into Friday as our next storm system moves in from the west with rain developing around midday Friday and continuing through the overnight and into Saturday bringing another good soaking with 1" to 2" possible during this time. Rain will taper off Saturday afternoon with some clearing during the overnight and into Sunday. We'll see some peaks of sun Sunday morning before another round of rain slides in late in the day, lasting until Monday morning.
