Weather Brief Aug 21, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - August 21, 2019 PM

Clouds, showers, and storms have made a return to the Midcoast Wednesday as an area of low pressure moves through the region. Periods of rain will continue into around midnight with some storms possibly becoming strong to severe with strong winds, heavy rain, small hail, and lightning. We'll see a mix of sun and clouds on Thursday with areas of morning fog with a chance for a few more late day showers and storms as the low exits to the north and east, pulling a cold front through Maine. High pressure will build in behind the front for Friday and the upcoming weekend making for a stretch of sunny weather. Air will fell more spring like with low humidity and cooler temperatures with highs in the low 70s and lows in the 40s and 50s. Sunshine will continue for the early part of next week as high pressure remains in place followed by a chance of rain for the mid week.
