Weather Brief Dec 03, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - December 3, 2019 PM

Snow will gradually wind down though the evening and early night as our first big winter storm of the season moves out to the east. Winds will shift out of the west and become calmer through the night and into Wednesday morning as skies gradually clear. Overnight lows will dip into the low 20s overnight with highs rebounding into the mid 30s Wednesday afternoon. Skies will become cloudy again as a weak area of low pressure moves by to the north with light snowfall possible for western and northern Maine.

Clouds and cold will linger through the late week with a small chance of light snow Friday as another weak wave of low pressure moves by to our south. Sunny skies will return Saturday as lows dip into the low to mid teens with highs in the mid 20s. Winds and will increase out of the south on Sunday ushering in milder air that will bring highs back into the mid 30s. This warming trend will continue into Monday with temperatures into the 40s as scattered rain showers move in. Rain will continue into Tuesday as temperatures continue to warm, reaching the low to mid 50s. This will bring melting to the recent round of snow we picked up this week.
