Weather Brief Dec 05, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - December 5, 2019 PM

The snow banks shrunk just a bit on Thursday with a good amount of sunshine and temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 30s. Clouds are rolling back in however as weak front moves through overnight that will make for an uptick in west winds as colder air moves in. We'll see sunny skies to begin Friday but clouds will move in once again as another clipper system moves through bringing a chance of light snow along the coast late in the day with little to no accumulation expected. Temperatures will stay chill through the day with highs only in the 20s. The cold trend continues into the start of the weekend despite mostly sunny skies with lows in the teens and highs in the 20s. The cold spell wont last long with southwest winds increasing Sunday ushering in milder air through the day and into the early week as a slow moving front approaches from the west. We'll see rain move in ahead of this front on Monday as highs climb into the 40s. A heavier rain will move in Monday night and Tuesday as temperatures continue to warm into the mid 50s to near 60. The front will move through on Wednesday with pockets of flurries through the day as cold air begins to rush back in. We'll continue to cool into the late week with highs dipping into the 30s Wednesday, then upper teens and low 20s Thursday.
