Weather Brief Jan 22, 2020

Midcoast Forecast - January 22, 2020 PM

We saw a few clouds Wednesday morning and flurries for some locations inland as a warm front lifted through the region. This coupled with returning sunshine helped highs climb into the 30s Wednesday afternoon. The warming trend will continue on Thursday with highs well above normal for late January, reaching the upper 30s to low 40s with partly to mostly sunny skies. Clouds will increase through Friday and hold Saturday as our next winter storm approaches that will arrive Saturday night and continue into Sunday. This will arrive late Saturday night and continue through Sunday with a mix of rain and snow. Latest data suggests the storm will pull in enough mild to result in rain mix further inland that would limit snow accumulations. A shift in the track of the storm further south would mean less mild air and more snow accumulation. The storm will gradually clear out during the early week with lingering flurries possible early Monday.
