Weather Brief Jun 25, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - June 25, 2019 AM

Tuesday will be off to a sunny start but clouds will gradually increase from the west through the day as our next round of rain approaches. An area of low pressure will move into Quebec pushing a warm front into New England through the day with scattered showers along it. These will arrive across the Midcoast into the mid to late afternoon and continue into the overnight as a cold front follows closely behind. We'll see some lingering showers across Downeast Maine with cloudy skies Wednesday morning followed by gradual clearing into the afternoon with highs in the 60s east of Penobscot Bay and 70s east. Warm and humid air will move into the region heading into the late week that will eventually take highs into the 80s by Friday and continue into the weekend. With the muggy air warm air mass in place, pop up showers and storms will be possible mainly Thursday and during the weekend. Drier and cooler air will make a push back into the region Sunday and into the early week.
