Weather Brief Jun 26, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - June 26, 2019 PM

Although the showers cleared out of the Midcoast early Wednesday morning, the clouds held strong with showers continuing Downeast through much of the day. The gray weather resulted in highs only in the 50s and 60s for much of the area. Western Maine saw breaks in the clouds through the day allowing for a milder day with highs into the 70s. Clouds will hold through the night with fog developing which will continue into Thursday morning. Morning fog will gradually lift through Thursday morning giving way to some sun during the afternoon as temperature rebound back into the 70s. The return of sunshine will help to fuel isolated showers and storms mainly inland and into the mountains during the afternoon and evening. We'll see a mix of sun and clouds on Friday as warm and humid air builds into the region with highs climbing to the upper 70s to low 80s. The increase in humidity will fuel scattered showers and storms during the weekend as low pressure move through Maine. We'll see clearing into the early week with highs holding in the 70s.
