Weather Brief Jun 04, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - June 4, 2019 PM

Tuesday has been a pleasant day for the Midcoast thanks to high pressure nudged in from the south. It was a cool start to the day with morning lows in the low 40s but temperatures rebounded into the 60s during the afternoon under a mix of sun and clouds. Clouds will increase overnight as a round of light showers moves in from the west along a stationary boundary positioned over southern New England, stretching west toward the Great Lakes. We'll see pockets of light rain through Wednesday morning under cloudy skies with some clearing during the afternoon. An area of low pressure will move in from the west along the stalled boundary pushing in more organized and heavy rain for Wednesday night and into the morning hours on Thursday. We'll see just 1/10" to 1/4" of rainfall through Wednesday with a more significant 1" to 2" Wednesday night and through the first part of Thursday.

Skies will gradually clear Thursday afternoon as high pressure builds in from the west giving us mostly sunny skies for Friday and through the upcoming weekend. Along with the sunshine, temperatures will feel more summer like with highs reaching the 70s to low 80s during this period. The sunny and warm trend will continue into the early week followed by rain for the middle of next week.
