Weather Brief Mar 19, 2020

Midcoast Forecast - March 19, 2020

A warm front is approaching from the southwest Thursday, pushing in clouds along with pockets of light rain showers, mixing with light snow across interior portions of the state. Highs reached the low 40s again despite the gray skies and wet weather. The warm front will lift north through New England on Friday ushering in milder air along breezy south winds with temperatures steadily climbing, reaching the 50s by late in the day with ongoing periods of light rain showers. Rainfall totals through the late week will be fairly low, ranging between 1/4" to 1/2".

A cold front will sweep through the region from west to east Friday night clearing out clouds and showers. High pressure will build in from the west behind the front on Saturday resulting in sunny skies and breezy west winds as colder air returns with highs dipping into the 30s and lows into the teens and 20s. The sunny weather will continue through the weekend and into Monday followed by clouds and warmer weather heading into the mid week.
