Weather Brief May 06, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - May 6, 2019 PM

The Midcoast is enjoying a sun filled spring day after seeing stubborn clouds holding on through the weekend thanks to high pressure set up over the region. The sunshine has made for a mild day with highs ranging from the upper 50s along the coast to upper 60s a few miles inland. We'll continue to see mainly clear skies overnight and into the start of Tuesday. Clouds will gradually increase through Tuesday afternoon as a cold front moves in from the northwest which will touch off a few showers and possibly a storm during the evening and early night with just 1/10" to 1/4" of accumulation. High pressure will build in behind the front on Wednesday bringing the return of sunny skies with highs holding in the 50s.

We'll see another dry day on Thursday but clouds will be making a comeback as a large area of low pressure develops to our west and pushes into the northeast. This will bring soaking rain Friday with around 1/2" of accumulation expected. Skies will clear out on Saturday setting the Midcoast up for another pleasant spring weekend.
