Weather Brief Sep 13, 2019

Midcoast Forecast - September 13, 2019 PM

We are ending the week with sunny but cool weather with high pressure in place over Maine with highs in the low to mid 60s after starting off in the 40s and low 50s. High pressure will shift east of Maine on Saturday as an area of low pressure tracks in from the west. This will pull a cold front through the region bringing cloudy skies and periods of afternoon showers with highs  holding in the 60s. Rainfall will be light with totals less than 1/2". Skies will gradually clear into Sunday as the front moves east and high pressure builds in from the west. With sunshine back, temperatures will rebound to the 70s making for a pleasant second half of the weekend. A weak area of low pressure will move in from the west on Monday and slide over the Gulf of Maine pushing some clouds back in with a low chance of rain. High pressure will build in for the mid week making for a sunny and dry stretch of weather with highs starting in the 60s, reaching the 70s by the late week.
