New Beat Farm

As part of my gardening/horticulture homeschool course, I went to most of the Farm Training workshops put on by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.

These workshops are for people in MOFGA's Apprenticeship Program, but are free and open to anyone interested.

The workshops began in the late afternoon with a farm tour, followed by a presentation and demonstration on the topic of the day. This was followed by a potluck supper where I could talk with apprentices about the farms where they were working and hear how the apprenticeship was going for them.

If you want to participate this year you can get information and see last year's schedule at http://mofga.org/tabid/298/Default.aspx.
