I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Heather Wilson of Liberty. My thoughts are with her family in this difficult time.

A church service to honor her life will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 96 Main St. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home in Belfast. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at ripostafh.com.

Esther Mathieson passed away at her home in Montville on Tuesday. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.

Montville Town Clerk Hannah Hatfield sent an email saying, "Having been very civic-minded, her loss is of particular weight, felt here in the Town Office. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and loved ones."

TRIAD will be hosting a Handcrafters Day for residents aged 50 and older, on Saturday, March 7, with several quilting classes and an art class available.

A basic watercolor painting class will be offered with Nancy Blatz; a special quilt class with Norma Quimby; a class on making borders for quilts with Charlotte Saucier; a quilt-making class with strips with Becky Woods; and quilt designs using half-square triangles with Pat Pierson.
