The Montville Town Office will be closed Monday, Jan. 18, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Selectmen are currently accepting applications for the position of administrative assistant. It is a part-time job (approximately 16 hours a week) and the pay is $18 per hour.

People can apply by submitting a cover letter and resume to montville@fairpoint.net or by dropping it off at the Town Office. The deadline to apply is Feb. 1. To see the complete job listing, visit tinyurl.com/y5mhmp63.

The Montville Historical Society 2021 calendars are in! The office has a limited number for sale, but if you want to order them directly from Barbara Boulay, you can contact her at 589-4414, or write to her at 716 S. Mountain Valley Highway, Montville, ME 04941. Price is $10 per calendar.

The Montville Fire Department is having a cinnamon roll fundraiser Saturday, Jan. 16, starting at 8 a.m. with homemade rolls, baked on this date and available by preorder (highly recommended) or by drive-through. These delicacies can be had for $15 per dozen, or $1.50 each. To get the yummiest cinnamon rolls ever, contact Karen at 382-3077 or Kailey at 322-5819 to preorder.

The Liberty Library has started updating its records and needs resident members to renew their memberships before Jan. 31.

Resident membership is free for anyone in Liberty and Montville. "Residents" are considered those who pay taxes to the towns of Liberty or Montville or have a residential address in Liberty or Montville, such as a renter.

If residents joined the library after January 2020, you do not need to renew until the one-year expiration. Nonresidents do not need to do anything at this time as they are handled differently.

Once the information is entered in the system, your membership will be renewed until Jan. 31, 2022.

To register, visit tinyurl.com/y2mby9g7.

That's about it for this week.
