Missing Doggie
Lielo has been missing since mid-afternoon on Wednesday November 8th. We live off the Jackson/Choate road in Searsmont/Montville. She hates the cold and I imagine would have been looking for a warm place to snuggle in. If you see her email: or Peter Nerber 993-2225 or cell 505-0981. Please keep an eye out for her and please share. Thanks.

Just a reminder that the Montville Fire Department / EMS coordinator are looking to create a list of residents emails as a means of getting vital information out in a timely fashion. If you do not care to be added to their list please opt out by contacting the town’s Administrative Assistant, Jeanne Coleman, by November 15th at 342-5543 or email her at

Mark your calendar for the 3rd Annual Pay it Forward Thanksgiving... forget all the potato peeling for Thanksgiving, we will be having a free, yes 100% free Thanksgiving dinner at the Liberty Community Hall on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 23rd, at 11am - 1pm. This event is for anyone in the community that wants to come, whether your family is out of town, maybe your spouse is no longer with us and it just isn't the same, maybe your financially strained, or maybe you just don't want to cook, it does not matter what the reason... come join other community members for a complete dinner with all the fixin's. What is the catch you say? If you can or would like to bring a non-perishable food item that could be donated to the Liberty Baptist Church food pantry that would be awesome but not required.... your kindness never goes unnoticed. Thank you.

That’s about it for this week. If you have news you would like me to include, or just let me know you read the column, send me an email or give me a call. My deadline for next week's edition is Friday at 10:00.

Until next time.
