Sorry for the late entry but I’ve been keeping watch over a big brisket we’ve been smoking for the last 12 hours and I seemed to have lost track of time. Either that or I am starting to feel the early signs of food-coma-toes. Happy to report all food was delicious, and we will have leftovers to feed us all weekend!

A new resident sand shed is under construction. If we happen to get a storm before it is ready, Steve lucas (Road Commissioner) will have sand located outside the town sand shed for residents.  Residents are allowed two 5-gallon buckets, per household.

The Union Harvest Grange will be hosting their annual Christmas bazaar on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Please come and join us from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Grange on Center Road to listen to our awesome local musicians, have some great food and buy that perfect gift from our local crafters and artisans. The Montville Historical Society will be having an open house on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 10 AM – 2:30 PM at the Kingdom Schoolhouse in Center Montville. The Schoolhouse Museum will be open and staffed, and refreshments will be served. The members will also be offering 12" wreaths at $15 for decorated or $12 for plain to raise funds for our ongoing preservation and education projects. Applications are now being accepted for housekeeper at the Town Office. The duties would include coming in every other week for an hour to clean. The pay would be $15 an hour / paid at $30 per month. If interested contact Jeanne Coleman at 342-5543 or email her at

Applications are now available for a Christmas Holiday Food Baskets and also Christmas gifts for kids. Applications can be picked up at the Town Office or at Waldo Community Action Partners (WCAP) at 9 Field Street in Belfast (338-6809).
