Condolences go out to the family of Barb Rehmeyer for the loss of Joe Rehmeyer.

The Town of Montville would like to offer condolences to the friends and family of long time resident Harriet Veronesi who passed away recently.

From the Montville Town Office, the Transfer Station cannot accept barrels without covers or containers / bag full of fluids. Unity Area Regional Recycling Center cannot accept Styrofoam (please empty all boxes); large pieces of cardboard should be cut down; all lids should be separated from their containers and placed in the appropriate bins; glass jars and bottles are acceptable but candle jars, pane glass, mirrors etc.; and hardcovers should be removed from books. Recyclers are encourage to bring any electronics, light bulbs, and batteries directly to the UARR center in Thorndike.

The Rebecca Bryant fundraiser will be Saturday, Jan. 20, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Mount View High School. The fundraiser will be a potluck supper by donation, Chinese auction and 50-50 raffle. Many awesome items donated for auction. Rebecca lost her home and belongings from a fire December 26, 2017.

Lake St George State Park youth ice fishing derby will be held Saturday January 27, 8 to 2 p.m. Cost is $1.50 for adults and youth ages 12-64. All others are free. Come join us and learn how to fish! All equipment and bait provided! We will be serving lunch, hot cocoa while supplies last. There will be a nice warming hut as well.
