Upcoming events

If you don't want to take your children out trick or treating, here are some events to take them to to have lots of fun.

Morrill Baptist Church Trunk or Treat, Monday, Oct. 31, 4:30 p.m. Safe and fun for the whole family. Decorate your car or truck. Candy and baked goods needed. Your children can have a safe Halloween night by coming to the Trunk or Treat and get lots of candy and have lots of fun.

Crossroads Community Baptist Church is having Fall Harvest Monday, Oct. 31, at Lincolnville Central School, Lincolnville. Come have lots of fun with us and play games. Candy, bounce house, door prizes, refreshments and much more. Don't forget to wear your costumes.

Morrill Historical Society

The Morrill Historical Society has had a plaque made to honor recipients of the Morrill cane presented to our oldest citizen, which originally was known as the "Boston Post Cane." That cane burned in a fire years ago and was replaced by the Morrill cane. An informational plaque is to be placed with the cane in the viewing case upstairs at the Community Center.

Anyone interested in sharing a story or having an interest in the Historical Society, please feel free to contact Anne Ambrose or Chris Cox.

Rabies clinics

Don't forget the free rabies clinic coming up Saturday, Oct. 22, 9 to 11 a.m., at the Brooks Fire Station. These monthly clinics are free to Waldo County residents, sponsored by Waldo County Humane Society. On Nov. 5, a clinic will be held at Liberty Community Center, and Dec. 20 at Lincolnville Fire Station.

Spring ahead, fall back

Don't forget to turn your clock back on Saturday night, Nov. 5, or Sunday morning, Nov. 6.

You all have an awesome week and stay warm. Also hope everyone is enjoying all this beautiful foliage.
