Thorndike — Lydia Schofield, a fourth-grader at Mount View Elementary School, shared with her class a book titled “Bendy Wendy” she recently published. Students in Schofield's class asked her how she came up with the ideas for the book and how she published the book.

Schofield explained the title character in the book, Bendy Wendy, is similar to her because the character enjoys dancing and bending, and also has an “annoying” brother.

The book was published under the pen name of JoJo Thoreau.

After she shared the book with her class, students applauded Schofield's work. She told her class she is now working on another book titled “Tiny Tina.”
