Mustangs cannot break through in home tri-meet

Mount View falls to Medomak Valley, Nokomis in midwek mat affair

Thorndike — The home stable for the Mustangs of Mount View had been a comfort this season, as the ‘Stangs sported a 5-2 home record.

However, those three dual-match wins above .500 took a hit on Wednesday, Jan. 10, as Mount View saw Medomak Valley of Waldoboro and Nokomis of Newport come into its turf and leave with a road victory.

The Mustangs, 10-7 in dual-matches this season, lost to Medomak Valley 66-18 and  Nokomis 51-30.

The individual Mount View results, with Mustangs listed first, included:

113 pounds — Morgan Fonger was pinned by Marshall Sawyer, Med; and won by forfeit over Nokomis.

126 pounds — Emma Fonger was pinned by Colby Hyde, Med; and lost to Tyler Preble, Nok.

138 pounds — Mark Ward pinned Damien Henry, Med; and won by forfeit over Nokomis.

145 pounds — Zachary Ward won by forfeit over Medomak Valley and Nokomis.

152 pounds — Jason Barnard won by forfeit over Medomak Valley and Nokomis.

160 pounds — Michael Cole was pinned by Elias Miller, Med; and was pinned by David Wilson, Nok.

170 pounds — Matthew Barnard was pinned by Jakob Gess, Med; and was pinned by Quinton Richards, Nok.

285 pounds — Nathaniel Fuller was pinned by Erik Benner, Med; and was pinned by Nicholas Lincoln, Nok.
